They like to touch what they want to learn. For example, if the teacher is conducting a lesson about the human body the teacher can bring models of parts of the human body like the face, arms or abdomen. The teacher can allow the students to touch the parts of the human body. Moreover, kinesthetic students have a special way to learn, which means that the teachers can get students to participate in a lot of activities (Al-Failkawei, 2005).

I agree with this completely. I feel that I am a kinesthetic learner. Anything I read, if I am not interested in it I will forget it the minute I finish. If we are learning about an egg or eggs, I would rather be able to hold one, mess with it to learn about it rather than reading about one in a book or something. I can relate to the first paragraph talking about  “It is Tough to Be a Bug” because I actually got a chance to see it last year. It was pretty neat because the technology they used made it feel like there were bugs around you, and when a stink bug came, you could smell it. I think they got their point across to anyone who has seen the short movie.

I chose this picture because the child didn't use a brush to paint, but his hands instead so he could feel the paint and really make art.

  1. Interesting observation, I remember taking painting classes in my undergrad and the best artist was the one who touched, smelled and even tasted the paint. Those students got a better feel of the paint and had the best paintings. Hands-on is still a great technique.
