Benjamin Franklin suggested changing the alphabet, and Andrew Carnegie provided money for people to study the problem.

I think this is completely ridiculous. If they decided to change the alphabet and how we actually spell things it would screw alot of things up. They wouldn't only have to teach the students in school, but everyone else in the world too because they would have no idea what we were talking about. In the text it said something about changing the word prove to proov. To me it just looks wrong, because I was tought to spell it a different way..along with everyone else. The article said that they just ignored this completely, and I am all for it because it would just be pointless. Everyone would continue to spell things correctly and abbreviate everything as they were before.


I used this image because I believe if we changed the alphabet this is what it would look like, one big mess.
